Our client, a gourmet bread manufacturing plant, is looking to add to his already successful sales team with an in-house Sales Assistant.
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Salary: $35,000 + full benefits.
Scope of work:
Provide administrative support to the Sales Manager and work close with her to develop the department and the strategies and improve productivity.
Duties:
· Assist customers over the telephone with inquiries on product information, their accounts, and delivery info, and to search out answers for customers from the appropriate person, should you not know
· Assist Sales Manager in follow-up with new and existing clients
· Assist Sales Manager with trade shows and product demos incl. out of office meetings.
· Write up orders for shipping that have been phoned or faxed in
· Invoice customers, ensuring that the proper pricing has been used
· Credit and re-bill any invoices that were billed incorrectly
· Credit customers for product returned
· Take payments on account, be it cash, debit, cheques, or credit cards
· Assist managers, sales reps, and branches with pricing inquiries
· Assist shipping department, service department, and other branches
· Answer phones
· General office duties, mail, filing, photocopying, etc.
Qualifications:
· Ability to multi-task in a team environment
· Accurate – detail-oriented, even when in a somewhat hectic atmosphere
· Proficiency in computer based software applications (MS Office, Outlook) and ability to learn new software
· Strong people skills
· Outgoing personality
Experience:
Minimum 1 - 2 years of working experience in the perishable food industry.
